Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your WildCamp account and the personal data associated with it at any time, using either of the methods below.

Option 1 — Delete from Inside the App (recommended)

  1. Open WildCamp on your phone.

  2. Go to the Settings tab.

  3. Scroll to the Account section.

  4. Tap Delete Account.

  5. Type DELETE to confirm and re-enter your password (or re-authenticate with Apple or Google, depending on how you signed up).

  6. Tap Permanently Delete Account.

The deletion is processed immediately. You'll be signed out as soon as it completes.

Option 2 — Email Request

If you no longer have access to the app or your phone, email support@wxbyte.com from the email address registered to the account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

We'll process the request within 7 business days and reply to confirm. We may ask additional verification questions if the request comes from a different email address than the one on the account.

What Gets Deleted

  • Your profile (display name, bio, email, sign-in record).

  • Your saved locations and custom lists.

  • Your offline map regions associated with your account on our servers (any local cache on your device is removed by uninstalling the app).

  • Photos you uploaded with reviews or location submissions.

  • Your Firebase authentication record.

What Stays — But Anonymized

To preserve the value of community ratings and the locations database, the following are kept but stripped of any link to you:

  • Reviews and ratings you submitted — your name is replaced with "Deleted user"; any photos attached are removed.

  • Locations you submitted — the name and coordinates remain available to other users, but attribution is replaced with "Deleted user"; any photos attached are removed.

If you'd like a specific review or submitted location completely removed (rather than anonymized), email support@wxbyte.com before deleting your account.

Backups

Anonymized backups may be retained for up to 30 days for disaster recovery, after which they are purged.

Subscriptions

If you have an active WildCamp Pro subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel it — subscriptions are managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. To cancel:

  • iPhone / iPad: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or open the App Store and tap your avatar → Subscriptions.

  • Android: Open Google Play → tap your avatar → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

We don't process refunds directly — those go through Apple or Google.
